Each turn is one call to Claude, sometimes with a web search. A twelve-turn session runs to roughly a pound of API usage. With an invite you use the garden's own key, capped per day. With your own key you pay Anthropic directly; the key lives only in an encrypted cookie in your browser and is never stored on the server.
Your sessions are private to your browser. Nothing is shared, and you can export any tree as Markdown.
